At last we had some wind in the right direction and had a magnificent broad reach sail all the way to the island of Amorgos, dodging some very impressive islands on the way!
Again we managed to get a brilliant mooring on the town quay next to some Italians we had met in Naxos. We were greeted by the local menagerie, two very loud geese and hundreds of cats! The cats seemed to spend their whole time winding the geese up (very successfully!). At least there wasn’t a problem with rats here!
One of the cats was very cheeky trying to get on board to share our tea! He did make it on board next door’s yacht though!
We went for a brief walk and an early night was necessary as we had a long sail across to the small island of Levitha the following day. Unfortunately we got stung for 5 € for electricity but no port police this time so another relatively cheap night – beans on toast again!
